Visit to Liverpool University's Oil Depletion Impact Gr

ASPO Ireland Director, Richard O'Rourke, delivered a guest lecture to third year geography undergraduates at the University of Liverpool taking the Global Oil Depletion: Evidence, Impacts, and Mitigation module.

Now in its third year, course director, Dr. Jan Bloemendal, described the course as one of the most popular in the geography department. Bloemendal is also a member of the Oil Depletion Impact Group (ODIG), a multi-disciplinary research group set up by Simon Snowden in the university'sManagement Scool.

Included in Snowden's presentation was his recent work with the Global Energy unit in Uppsala analysing the IEA's latest oil production outlook, which wes recently covered in the Guardian newspaper.
